We agree on the scope and collect your first monthly payment before design starts. You see a homepage direction, with one refinement included, before we build the rest.
If you decline that direction before approving the rest of the build, we refund your first monthly payment and cancel the project and subscription. Once you approve, the normal project agreement and minimum term apply.
Custom discovery and integrations are scoped separately, with any separate fees and terms agreed before payment.

Custom work beyond the menu is $150 an hour with a $500 minimum. Extra care is $120 an hour. Both are quoted before we start.
Questions
About the money.
When do I make the first payment?
After we agree on the scope, start date, and agreement, but before design starts. On the monthly plan, that is your first month's subscription, with no separate setup fee. If you pay for the build, the build fee is due before design and monthly care begins at launch.
What if I don't like the design?
On the monthly plan, we show you the initial homepage direction and include one refinement. If you decide it isn't right before approving the direction and the rest of the build, we refund your first month's payment and cancel the project and subscription. The unapproved design is not transferred. Once you approve the direction, the normal project and minimum-term agreement applies. Separately quoted discovery or custom work has its own terms, agreed before payment.
What happens after the 12 months?
Your payment automatically drops to the care rate shown in your estimate from month 13. The build is paid for, and you own the design, content, and code. Continue with hosting, maintenance, and routine edits month-to-month, or leave with your site at no handover fee.
What does care include?
Hosting, security and dependency updates, monitoring, backups, and routine content edits within fair use, up to two hours each month. Use our change-request form to select your site and page, then describe the text, photo, price, or other content update. Extra work is quoted before it begins.
Is the estimate the final price?
It is a starting estimate based on what you select. We confirm scope and price before payment. Custom integrations, ordering, online stores, and ongoing content work need a closer look. Third-party subscriptions, transaction fees, delivery charges, and any applicable taxes are separate.
What is a reusable layout?
A design used for entries such as blog posts, menu items, or projects. You pay for each distinct layout, rather than a new page design for every entry. Importing existing entries is an advanced option; an optional editor lets you add and update entries yourself.
Do I need a sales call?
