After we agree on the scope, start date, and agreement, but before design starts. On the monthly plan, that is your first month's subscription, with no separate setup fee. If you pay for the build, the build fee is due before design and monthly care begins at launch.

The monthly plan spreads the build over twelve months with a 15% spread on the build portion, so you can start without a lump sum. Paying for the build up front skips that spread. The estimate shows the difference over the first year for whatever you have selected; from month 13 both plans cost the same care rate.

On the monthly plan, we show you the initial homepage direction and include one refinement. If you decide it isn't right before approving the direction and the rest of the build, we refund your first month's payment and cancel the project and subscription. The unapproved design is not transferred. Once you approve the direction, the normal project and minimum-term agreement applies. Separately quoted discovery or custom work has its own terms, agreed before payment.

Your payment automatically drops to the care rate shown in your estimate from month 13. The build is paid for, and you own the design, content, and code. Continue with hosting, maintenance, and routine edits month-to-month, or leave with your site at no handover fee. Prefer one invoice a year? Pay twelve months of care at once and two of them are free. The same offer applies if you paid for the build, once the 3-month minimum is up.

Hosting, security and dependency updates, monitoring, backups, and routine content edits within fair use, up to two hours each month. Use our change-request form to select your site and page, then describe the text, photo, price, or other content update. Extra work is quoted before it begins.

No. Fifty blog posts are entries, not pages. They share one reusable layout, so fifty posts add about $500 to the build once we import them, instead of the $7,500 you would get by counting them as fifty pages. Pages are priced one at a time only when they need a layout of their own.
