A website should be an asset your business owns. Our agreement sets out when ownership transfers and how we hand it over.
What you own
The design, the words, the photos, and the code. From the day you pay the build fee, or from the twelfth payment on the all-in plan. Not a license. Ownership.
After the first year
On the monthly plan, your payment automatically drops to the care rate in your estimate from month 13. Keep the hosting, maintenance, and routine edits month-to-month, or take the site with you after the minimum term.
Where it lives
While you are with us, the site lives in our hosting and our code repository so we can care for it. You never need a developer account for anything. Submit content changes through our website's change-request form, or use the optional editor. We handle the rest.
Before the full build
On the monthly plan, your first payment follows scope approval and an agreement. We show you a homepage direction with one refinement. Decline it before approving the rest of the build and we refund that payment and cancel the project and subscription. The unapproved design is not transferred.
If you leave
After the minimum term, tell us. Within thirty days we hand over the complete site: the code in a repository you control or a plain export you can host anywhere, plus every image and file. We point your domain wherever you say and stay reachable for questions during the move. No exit fee.
Why we do this
Because it keeps us honest. If the only reason you stay is that leaving is painful, we are not doing our job. We would rather earn the monthly every month.
In plain terms
The three lines that go in every agreement.
- Ownership transfers after the build fee is paid, or after twelve monthly subscription payments.
- You may leave at any time after the minimum term, and we will deliver a complete copy of the site within thirty days at no charge.
- We will never hold your domain, your content, or your data as a condition of staying.
