What was wrong

A WordPress site so old that parts of it had stopped working. The portfolio was buried, the design said nothing about the studio, and adding a project meant fighting a broken theme.

The story

Crystal Cut Studios edits video and makes 2D animation for clients around the world. A portfolio site has one job: show the work, fast, and make the studio feel like itself.

What we did

We rebuilt it around the portfolio, and gave it a proper content system. The owner logs in, changes a title, adds a video or a new portfolio piece, and it is live. No files, no code, and no way to break the layout while doing it. The crystals and sparkle are real design, not decoration for its own sake, and they cost nothing in load time.

What changed

New work goes up the day it's finished. The design is protected in code; the content is the owner's to change whenever they like, from a login, not a file.
